It is located below the point where the monumental waterfall pours in the Apulian sea.
The Grotta degli Innamorati (lovers cave) has not particularly historical or archaeological significance. Its peculiarity lies in the inlet that allows the access, high no more than 4 meters from the sea level.
In the cave you can enter swimming and gradually the water gets lower and you find yourself on the sand, always keeping the same height above sea level.
Story goes that the Grotta bring good luck to lovers who visit it, but in fact, its name comes from a particular visible only from the inside: if you look towards the outside is possible to recognize the two curves that form the top of a heart!
In this cave, a spring of fresh and very cold water flows as well making exciting and adventurous a visit inside.
