A charming nativity scene, which can be visited by the public on days 25, 26, 29 December 2013 and 1, 5 and 6 January 2014 from 17.00 to 20.30, and resurface an unusual scene on the contexts of the old civilization peasant Basso Salento.

Faith and ancient gestures, made by young performers also re-propose the rediscovery of tradition, understood as attention to the values of the past to better face the difficulties and challenges of the present.

The event, which in the past has achieved considerable appreciation indices, as well as by visitors, even by scholars of popular traditions, has always had a good response on print media and TV and regional authorities. But the spotlight is only the echo of the preparatory work, the organization obsessive care of every detail, with attention to historical references of the Christian fait.

The location of the eighteenth-century palace, in a route from bright corners of the houses in the old town of Torrepaduli, with baskets made of reeds and wicker, poor materials of the great peasant culture of the past.

The craftsmanship of the artisans present: the potter, the blacksmith, the innkeeper, the basket-maker, the wool carder, the weavers, the grinder, the manipulator of rushes and reeds, becomes the support material on which rested the life day of ancient times.

The celebration of Christmas and the mystery of the Epiphany thus become opportunities for transformation of the socio-cultural context of today's society, right in as he attempts to show to every visitor to the uniqueness of an event that has its roots in the age-old values of Christianity.
