Tessitura Calabrese

The textiles sector, where the female inspiration prevails, has found in Salento an art imported many centuries ago from Venice that has taken root here as a valuable virtue of the Apulian women.

The fabrics, proposed by Tessitura Calabrese, are the result of the traditional weaving of Salento: here is still a strong need to provide a dowry to future brides. The weaving produces fine bedding and upholstery fabrics: from damask tablecloths to sumptuous fringes towels  strictly knotted by hand, from the precious sateen sheets and linen to any other customized product.

Element that distinguishes the products of the highest level of Weaving is the quality of data from one type of processing semi-made - which prides itself on traditional weaving techniques - and textures and patterns that, in Salento, developed by linguistic codes and art clearly distinct and recognizable.
First of all the different stages of the production chain - from the yarn in hanks, the preparation of warps, from weaving to the quality control testing of the finished piece - take place within the plant de Weaving.
The fabrics are made with fine yarns using electronic jacquard looms, and at the same time, traditional techniques retrieved by the skilled local work.
I find great is the content of design that characterizes especially the new collections. Maker of the newest designs and the choice of colors is the trendiest Bleve Alexander, to whom we owe also the innovative use of fibers that make up collections for the home and table.
Thus, each new tissue comes from the recovery of ancient designs and techniques, but is revisited and proposed to make possible the use according to the modern conception.
